SVOX, the leading provider of embedded speech solutions, today announced the immediate availability of the Finnish and Greek across the range of SVOX Text-to-Speech products, according to company’s CTO Marcel Riedi. The addition of beautiful Finnish and Greek female voices brings the total number of languages in the SVOX TTS portfolio to 23 and the number of voices to 34.
The modular architecture of SVOX TTS systems means that the new voices, as well as all other languages and voices, are available across the whole range of TTS solutions based on unit selection technology, namely SVOX Automotive TTS (Standard and Advanced configurations) and SVOX Mobile TTS (Standard and Advanced configurations).
Martin Reber, SVOX CEO, explained the choice of new languages: “Both Finland and Greece are advanced European markets, so we were responding to the demand from our automotive and mobile customers,” he said. “SVOX is pleased that even more consumers will now be able to communicate with their devices naturally, using their native language.”
SVOX is constantly working to extend and update its portfolio of TTS languages and voices, with more languages, including Arabic, under development. Now available are: Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, US and UK English, Finnish, European and Canadian French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, European and North American Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
