Dr. Rainer Wend, age 54, economic policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group, will become Head of Corporate Public Policy and Sustainability at Deutsche Post World Net in Bonn effective April 1, 2009. He will succeed Dr. Monika Wulf-Mathies, age 66, who will retire at the end of 2008.
Dr. Wend is assuming the position responsible for Group's political coordination, environmental strategy and sustainability as well as Corporate Social Responsibility. In addition to the departments in Bonn, he will also manage offices in Berlin, Brussels, Washington and Singapore. He reports directly to the Chairman of the Board of Management, Dr.
