From shift supervisor to sales
For Murat Özdemir, the move is both a return and a further step in his development within priomold. He was previously part of the priomold team, working as a shift supervisor in the injection molding department. After gaining further professional experience outside the company, he returned to priomold earlier this year. From October onwards, he will take on responsibilities within the sales team, moving from direct responsibility in production to direct communication with customers and prospective clients.
One thing in particular connects his previous responsibilities with his new role: a direct understanding of how customer requirements can be translated into injection-molded plastic components. Murat is able to assess customer requests and technical requirements directly from an injection molding perspective and translate them into concrete manufacturing considerations. His many years of experience in injection molding and his in-depth understanding of plastics processing feed directly into his consulting approach. This makes it possible to clarify requirements at an early stage, identify potential challenges more quickly and work together with customers to develop targeted solutions for their specific components.
“I know the processes at priomold from my daily work in the injection molding department. Now I’m looking forward to bringing this experience more directly into our conversations with customers,” says Murat Özdemir. “For me, this is an exciting new role that allows me to apply my knowledge of plastics technology and production in a different way.”
Different perspectives complement each other
With this internal move, priomold is deliberately adding another technical perspective to its sales team. Stefan Geist already brings his experience from design engineering into sales. With Murat Özdemir, the team now also gains the perspective of hands-on plastics processing and injection molding.
This means that different areas of expertise from across the process chain come together within the sales team: from design engineering and practical manufacturing to customer consulting. For priomold, this creates a team that can assess technical questions from different perspectives and support customers with an even stronger practical focus.
“It is precisely these different perspectives that make our sales team stronger,” explains Thomas Schönbucher, Managing Director of priomold GmbH. “Stefan understands the requirements from a design engineering perspective, while Murat brings many years of experience from injection molding and production. We are particularly pleased that we can further develop this expertise from within our own team and transfer it into sales.”
The new setup also provides clear added value from a customer management perspective. The better technical requirements can be understood and assessed during the initial discussion, the more effectively customer projects can be supported and suitable solutions developed.
“I’m delighted to see how our team continues to grow and develop its technical expertise. With Murat, we are gaining additional know-how directly from plastics processing and injection molding. This enables us to understand our customers’ requirements even more precisely, go into greater technical depth and support them even better on their way to the right solution,” says Tobias Camek, Head of Customer Management at priomold.
Strengthening the team with further growth in mind
The internal move comes at an important time for priomold. The company is continuing to expand its international activities, with a stronger focus on the UK market among other areas. While part of the sales team will increasingly drive activities in the United Kingdom, Murat Özdemir will provide additional support for the German market as well as other international customers.
Personal and technical communication will continue to play an important role in customer support. With his experience in plastics processing, Murat adds precisely the perspective that is crucial for many customer questions: the perspective of hands-on manufacturing.
For priomold, this move therefore represents more than simply a change in responsibilities. It demonstrates how existing technical expertise within the company can be further developed and applied in new areas. Experience from production, knowledge from design engineering and close customer relationships are becoming even more closely connected.
