Friday afternoon, shortly before the weekend, priomold received an urgent inquiry from a globally active technology company based in southern Germany with headquarters in Japan. The company develops highly specialized systems for the semiconductor industry and was looking for a manufacturing partner capable of delivering high-quality injection-moulded components within an exceptionally short timeframe.
There was no time to lose. The priomold sales team established contact immediately, and by Monday morning both project teams met virtually for the project kick-off. From the very beginning, it became clear that everyone involved shared the same objective: delivering maximum quality in the shortest possible time through close collaboration, fast decision-making and transparent communication.
Only a few days later, the order was placed. While many companies were already heading into the weekend, machining had already begun at priomold. Within a very short time, the tool insert was completed with maximum precision. From there, every department worked hand in hand. Toolmaking, injection moulding, finishing and quality assurance were perfectly coordinated to keep the ambitious schedule on track.
A particular milestone of the project was the sampling phase. Two development engineers from the customer visited priomold to attend the mould trial and inspect the first injection-moulded parts on site. Following the successful approval, each engineer departed with a dedicated batch of components destined for two different production facilities in Asia.
Within only a few days, the parts were integrated into live production environments, where they successfully passed validation under real manufacturing conditions. From the initial inquiry to validated production, the entire project was completed in just 17 days.
The project demonstrates once again that speed and quality are not mutually exclusive. Thanks to efficient internal processes, short communication paths and close cooperation with the customer, priomold was able to realize an exceptionally demanding project within an extremely compressed timeframe.
