- MOBA Mobile Automation AG sells its shares in Novatron to Mandatum Asset Management,
thereby strengthening its strategic orientation. - The Swedish MOBA subsidiary will be transferred to Novatron as part of the transaction.
- MOBA remains a partner of Novatron, Xsite remains part of the offering.
Novatron Oy is a Finnish technology company that develops automation solutions for the construction and infrastructure industries. With its Xsite machine control systems, Novatron offers 2D and 3D solutions for excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, and other construction machinery. MOBA has been involved with the company since 2011 and has primarily distributed the systems directly in regional markets through its subsidiaries.
Today, more than a decade later, the sale is a logical step in the long-term strategy of the group. “Our business has developed in several directions in recent years – including areas such as OEM solutions, system integration, sensor technology, and safety. We want to strengthen these areas of focus even more specifically in the future,” explains Volker Harms, CEO of MOBA Mobile Automation AG. “The sale gives us the space to drive forward our next phase of growth with even greater focus.”
The funds freed up will be channeled into key future projects: innovation, technology development, and the further development of those areas in which MOBA sets global standards—including sensor technology, automation solutions, and safety-related systems for mobile machines.
Reorganization in Sweden
As part of the same transaction, MOBA AG's Swedish subsidiary, which focused on the distribution and servicing of Xsite products, will be transferred to Novatron. The transition is taking place in an orderly process and ensures continuity in all operational procedures. Thanks to the direct connection to Novatron, the site's previous activities will continue under new management but within familiar structures.
This adjustment supports MOBA's clear strategic focus and at the same time strengthens Novatron's position in the Scandinavian market.
Partnership with Novatron remains in place – Xsite continues to be part of the MOBA offering
Despite the change in the shareholding structure, the MOBA Group will remain a partner of Novatron in the future. Xsite products will continue to be distributed and supported via the German sales company of MOBA AG and its international locations.

With a broader portfolio of available excavator control systems—including Xsite—our locations will be able to respond even more specifically to different technical requirements and market needs in the future.
