Together with our bat mascot Batty and the sales staff, the children aged 2 to 6 learned what sound waves are and how they work, got to know our versatile microphones, e.g. the CMV563, and, of course, were allowed to speak or shout into a microphone themselves.
The children also designed their own microphones, which now adorn our foyer.
The CMV 563 – M7 is the original reissue of the vintage Gefell CMV 563.
The M7 microphone capsule, developed around the early 1930s, was a key innovation by Georg Neumann & Co. for their early tube microphones, such as the CMV-3 ("Neumann-Flasche") and later the Gefell Vintage-Microphon CMV 563, noted for its excellent signal properties and warm sound of valve microphones that are preferred by vocalists and soloists.
The vacuum tube pre-amplifier is equipped with the EF 86 pentode working as a triode selected for its sonic characteristics.
The new N 61 power supply provides the operating voltage for the vacuum tube. It can be powered from AC mains with a primary voltage of 115 or 230 volts / 50 or 60 Hz. The N 61 is equipped with an on/off switch, a 7-pin Tuchel connector that powers the microphone and a 3-pin XLR connector.
