Designed for precision time keeping, Epson’s RX8804 uses Digitally Temperature-Compensated Crystal Oscillator (DTCXO) technology to achieve ±3.4 or ±8 ppm accuracy over temperature of -40 to +85 °C or -40 to +105 °C respectively, equivalent to 9 or 20 seconds per month. This high accuracy is essential for precise time keeping, as required by eMeters, lighting, and other industrial or outdoor applications. Epson’s RX8804 includes a crystal, a digitally temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (DTCXO), and counters to keep track of time and date.
Epson’s RX8804 also includes automatic battery backup and time-keeping functions such as alarms and timers. Epson’s RX8804 with a supply voltage of 1.6-5.5 V is low power 0.35 μA (typ) backup current, has a clock output of 1 Hz, 1024 Hz, or 32.768 kHz and is offered in a small package (3.2 x 2.5 x 1.0 mm3).
