It is another bold venture the British Eco Adventurer Andy Pag took off for in late September. After having proofed that a regular car can be driven all the way from England to Greece fuelled with nothing else but ice cream ("Grease to Greece") he now wants to see whether it is possible to circle the world with a truck reducing emissions to two tons of CO2.
The journey is scheduled for one year. The "truck" is a refurbished school bus, the fuel will be waste oil and similar used oils he intends to collect. "I've no idea how easy it will be to find used cooking oil in places like Iran, India or Brazil but it's going to be fun finding out" Pag says.The tours motto ... "Rubbish".
ZUWA is part of the expedition with a DC oil pump plus accessories to gather his "fuel" in waste oil collecting points, Chinese restaurants or burger stands, just to give a few examples.
Andy Pag compliments: "with typical German efficiency the ZUWA people have grasped the scale of the technical challenge we are facing and supplied the pump, accessories and maintenance kit we'll need for collecting dirty oil."
After the first trial run prior to leaving London Andy Pag commented: "This Zuwa pump is unstoppable. 500 litres and its barely warm.".
