Zeitfracht Group’s official purchase of LGW took place on April 1. After the approval by relevant regulatory authorities and the fulfilment of customary closing conditions, the transaction of the previous Eurowings subsidiary was successfully closed. The transaction marks the beginning of a long-term wet lease agreement between LGW and Eurowings.
Zeitfracht CEO Wolfram Simon-Schröter said: „I am excited that we have completed the acquisition of LGW as planned. We would like to welcome the LGW employees in our family business. They will sustainably strengthen our aviation business.“
Currently, the LGW fleet is comprised of 17 Dash Q8 planes. For LGW employees, nothing will change as a result of the transition to Zeitfracht Group as their employment contracts remain unchanged. The Cologne-based airline WDL-Aviation already is a part of Berlin-based Zeitfracht Group.
