In exclusive evening events W&H and Planmeca invited dental experts from all over India to be informed on innovative dental products and the latest digital solutions. “For raising our brand awareness we decided on presentations in six Indian metropolises. Our aim was to maintain the direct contact with dentists, institutional heads as well as corporate hospital heads on site and to establish W&H India and Planmeca India as an important local partner for advanced dental solutions”, explained General Manager Raghavan Radhakrishnan. He also confirmed that these programs were just the beginning of broad based action plan for the Indian market. While the road show series started at Chandigarh on November 8, it was continued at Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Cochin on the following days. The event series ended with the roadshow in Bangalore on November 14, where since September 2016, the shared office centre of W&H and Planmeca has been located.
Live experiences with products strengthens customer loyalty
Each road show was attended by approximately 60 to 70 dental professionals. The participants mainly consisted of implantologists, prosthodontists, oral surgeons and radiologists. Among those present were institutional heads, corporate managements and luminaries from the dental industry. At the beginning of each event Anna Kluth, W&H Account Manager, and Pontus Degerlund, CAD/CAM Solutions Manager at Planmeca, gave insights into the company structure of the two family run businesses W&H and Planmeca. Following the company information, latest product innovations were highlighted.
Special focus of Anna Kluth was on the new generation of the implantology device Implantmed and latest products in the field of Hygiene & Maintenance such as the automatic handpiece maintenance device Assistina TWIN. Another product focus was on the Primea Advanced Air Turbine – a world innovation from W&H. The turbine combines for the first time the advantages of a turbine with the benefits of an electric motor and offers a constant bur speed for high speed preparations.
In his presentation Pontus Degerlund put a focus on the new exceedingly fast intraoral scanner Planmeca Emerald and the chair side CAD/CAM milling unit, Planmeca Planmill 40 S. The Planmeca Emerald is Planmeca’s new small, lightweight and accurate intraoral scanner with full natural colours. It’s a simple plug-and-play solution, which makes it easy to share between operatories. The Planmeca Planmill 40 S supports dentists in producing same-day crowns, bridges and veneers from a range of digital dental materials.
To familiarize themselves with the benefits of the new and exciting product features, the guests had the opportunity to experience the innovative functionalities through product demos. Under the expert guidance of the sales people from W&H India and Planmeca India, different features could be tested and discussed.
“The aim of our road shows was not only to present our product innovations and our product know-how, but also to support active networking among the Indian experts. For our product success and brand awareness the personal contact to our customers and target groups is decisive. With the current series of events we offered an optimal platform for a lively exchange of experiences and know-how, which offered an added value for the daily practice to the participants”, concluded Raghavan Radhakrishnan.
