Following a resolution by the OLG Düsseldorf http://rs-utilityservice.de/download/05.07.17_12.58_Telefax.pdf, yesterday it was revealed that the entire computer system of the Federal Network Agency was apparently brought to a standstill by a virus.
For some years now, people in the energy sector – whose security ought to be guaranteed by the Federal Network Agency – have been voicing their concerns about security, in particular IT security, believing it to be inadequate both in the energy sector as a whole and at the Federal Network Agency itself.
Indeed, warnings have been given in this regard in the last two months, which obviously have not been heeded:

It is about time that real specialists in the field of IT security tackle this matter and ensure that any open IT risks are dealt with.
