Ultimus, Inc., developer of one of the most widely-deployed business process management software suites in the world, with more than 1,900 customers, today announced the successful completion of its 2008 EMEA BPM User Conference held May 28-30 in Munich, Germany. Over 100 Ultimus customers, partners and prospects representing over 18 countries in its worldwide footprint gathered to share their BPM success stories and best practices.
Keynote speaker Connie Moore, Vice President and Research Director of Forrester Research, mirrored this year's conference theme of encouraging enterprises to be proactive in automating mission-critical processes. In her keynote, Moore stressed that an iterative approach to a small and achievable project scope is absolutely crucial to BPM project success. She emphasized that organizations must rally the entire business unit behind the initiative to drive it forward (rather than in front and resisting the change).
Ultimus recognized six partners and customers using its solutions in unique ways with awards presented during the event. The Ultimus BPM Partner Excellence Award 2008 went to VASS of Spain for their exceptional and innovative contributions. Ultimus partners Ideas Are Capital and Crea were also recognized.
Noor Islamic Bank received top honors winning the Ultimus BPM Customer Excellence Award 2008 based on high levels of commitment and excellence for its customized banking solution. "We chose Ultimus over other BPM providers because of their SaaS model, roundtrip optimization and seamless integration with other technologies," said Mubarak Chaudhry, business process manager, programs and quality, Noor Islamic Bank. "As a start up, we were experiencing tremendous growth and needed to connect employees with web-enabled processes. Since adopting Ultimus in March 2007, we have opened eight branches and implemented 31 processes, such as credit and debit card services, while managing growth from 30 to 650 employees."
Helaba Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen and Sanofi-Aventis (NYSE: SNY) also received recognition as Ultimus BPM customers of excellence for 2008.
