Jambo* and welcome to the Far Cry 2 developer blog. We are so excited to finally be able to talk to you about the game! It’s an amazing feeling to be working on something in secret for so long, then the day finally comes where the secret becomes public. We’ve been working on the game for well over a year, and now we’re finally free to get the word out as aggressively as possible.
A little about what we hope to bring you on our dev blog: we plan to keep track of all the cool things the team is doing as we’re working on the game, and bring them to you, whether it is a video, audio podcast, pictures, or text. So check back here often for new updates! A word of warning though: Don’t come here expecting game information all the time. This is our team blog, and we will share with you many things, some game-related, some not. We hope to bring you a behind the scenes look at what we do here. Maybe not the boring stuff, but certainly the interesting non-game related stuff. We hope you enjoy this look into our crazy, fun world at Ubisoft.
And by the way, some of us (including me) have just returned from Africa, where we braved elephant stampedes and basked in the savannah sunset. It will be shown in our full-length Making Of, but right now we’d like to give you a sneak peek at what we went through to prepare for the Africa trip.
