What if the operator would like to see whether there is still sufficient tampon printing ink in the ink/doctoring cup? What if he wants to refill ink, hardener, or solvent or wants to check the viscosity of the ink?
In the past the user had to remove the ink/doctoring cup with the cliché from the tampon printing machine. This is no longer necessary!
The magic word is "ClipLock®" - the ink/doctoring cup with a lid. However, it is still possible to remove it by using the assembly table and the gripping tongs which are included in the scope of supply of the tampon printing machine.
But "ClipLock®" allows the operator to look inside the ink/doctoring cup even while it remains in the machine. This saves set-up times. Downtimes during production can be reduced significantly.
The "ClipLock®" lid uses the complete ink/doctoring cup diameter as an opening. The lower height of the "ClipLock®" compared with the usual plastic ink/doctoring cup improves ink consumption and ink residue disposal which makes it considerably more economical. Thanks to the user-friendly pre-centering and the colouring ofthe lid a possible operator error when closing the lid will be avoided.
We have attached great importance to the simplicity of cleaning of the "ClipLock®" closure system. This was a major criterion during development and shows clearly in both the material and the design. The scope of supply of the "ClipLock®" includes a glass stirring stick and a solvent pipette. An option that is well worth the money the "ClipLock®" system will be available from TAMPOPRINT® as of June 1, 2009 for the "hermetic" tampon printing systems with a diameter of 60 mm. The price is the same as a standard plastic ink/doctoring cup.
