Indeed, when looking at the gold price over the months, February is the fifth best month. The best month is usually January, but this time there was only a barely notable gain (0.08 percent). However, the price of gold this January was about 4.5 percent higher than a year ago. Last year in February the price of the precious metal had to let feathers clearly. A minus of 6.26 per cent had to be registered, as much as since 1988 no more.
