In December 2020 signotec GmbH looks back proudly on a 20-year success story. Founded in 2000 by Arne Brandes, Gunther Hagner and Wolfgang Specht as a software manufacturer for applications for electronic handwritten signature verification as well as electronic signature of documents. During these past 20 years, signotec has developed not only into a manufacturer of its own hardware and software, but also far beyond that into a technology leader in the field of capturing handwritten electronic signatures.
On its way to success, signotec GmbH has already set many milestones with its own resources, constant innovative thinking and many years of experience. Representative for this is the ground-breaking decision in 2008 to develop and produce own hardware for signature capture in addition to the own software solutions - all Made in Germany.
From the beginning the focus of the three founders was on a regional and sustainable corporate orientation, which is why the solutions of signotec are not only developed in Germany, but also produced within Germany with the participation of well-known German suppliers.
Due to the early participation in national and intercontinental exhibitions signotec quickly made a name for itself as a reliable partner and supplier of high quality software and hardware solutions and built up a global partner network as well as an international customer base within a very short time. With reaching its age of majority in 2018, signotec looked back on more than 10,000 customers and over one million licenses sold worldwide.
