Freenom settled the lawsuit with Meta on confidential terms and announced its decision to close down its domain name operations. This move also came after Freenom lost its ICANN registrar accreditation and government contracts to run several country code TLDs (ccTLDs).
Given these developments, transferring domains registered at Freenom to another registrar makes sense for several reasons:
