Rottendorf Pharma GmbH, one of the leading European pharmaceutical service providers for the development, manufacturing and packaging of solid dosage forms, has continuously invested in new packaging lines over the past years. No more than one year ago two additional Giants 1 from IMA have been put into operation. This enables Rottendorf to offer today a total of 10 blister lines for the packaging of pharmaceuticals and food supplements. Dr. Thomas Rohn, Head of Packaging Dept. at Rottendorf: "We, as contract manufacturer, decided for the purchase of several Giants because of the redundancy of the packaging lines and the compatibility of tool format sizes in daily practice. Moreover, an important factor was the little space requirement of the machine and finally the universal usability." Rottendorf produces and packages several hundred different sizes of tablets, and the Giant 1 totally complies with these requirements. The processing of pp/alu, alu/alu and aclar foils as well as the production of combination blisters with two different tablets are not a problem at all.
Rottendorf Pharma GmbH, located in Ennigerloh/Germany, produces for the entire EU, the Eastern, Arabian and Asian markets and, due to its FDA certification, operates as well on the US market. The pharmaceutical service provider is able to reach up to 20 million blisters per month.
