Powerfleet will present its latest intralogistics solutions at LogiMAT 2026, taking place from March 24–26, in Hall 9, Stand A17. The focus will be on technologies that enable organisations to move beyond reactive incident analysis and toward proactively identifying and mitigating safety risks in warehouse environments. Solutions on display include the Unity fleet intelligence platform, the AI-powered Pedestrian Proximity Detection (PPD) solution, and the Forklift Gateway for secure and efficient management of material handling equipment.
This approach to connected, predictive safety was recently recognised with the Technology Innovator Award 2025, presented to Powerfleet’s Unity platform by the UK Material Handling Association (UKMHA). The award highlights technologies that are reshaping materials handling and supply chain operations and acknowledges Unity’s ability to combine on-site warehouse intelligence with on-road operational performance in a single platform. For Powerfleet, the recognition reinforces the practical value of integrating safety, visibility, and operational insight across complex, mixed-fleet environments.
Expert Presentation: From Reactive to Predictive Safety
Complementing its exhibition presence, Powerfleet will host an expert presentation on March 25, 2026, from 10:30 to 10:50, at Forum Nord, Hall 7. Under the title “From Reactive to Predictive Safety: How AI Is Transforming Forklift & Warehouse Risk Management” Powerfleet will demonstrate how AI, real-time data, and connected systems are enabling a shift from reactive safety measures to predictive risk management. The session will explore how potential risks involving forklifts and complex warehouse operations can be identified earlier to reduce accidents and sustainably improve safety processes.
Data-Driven Optimisation of Mixed Fleets
The Unity fleet intelligence platform forms a key technological foundation for this predictive approach. It aggregates data from more than 600 sources, including IoT devices and third-party applications, and integrates them into over 300 business systems. Whether in the warehouse, on the road, or at distribution centres, organisations benefit from a consolidated data foundation that supports informed decision-making around safety, asset availability, and operational performance.
By analysing real-world safety events and usage patterns, Unity enables companies not only to document risks but to systematically assess them and derive preventive actions. Intuitive dashboards and reports help reduce collisions, minimise personal injury, and extend the lifespan of vehicles and assets.
AI-Powered Safety in Warehouse Environments
A core component of this approach is Powerfleet’s AI-powered Pedestrian Proximity Detection (PPD) solution. The system detects pedestrians and vehicles in real time and provides both visual and audible alerts when potential hazards arise. This supports the transition from reactive safety concepts toward proactive risk mitigation in warehouse and production environments.
The latest generation of the system features a significantly more compact design, simplified plug-and-play installation, and flexible configuration with up to five individually defined detection zones. Enhanced protection ratings (camera IP67, electronic unit IP65), intelligent diagnostic functions, and improved performance under varying lighting conditions ensure reliable operation in demanding industrial settings.
Secure Driver Identification and Vehicle Access
Also on display is Powerfleet’s Forklift Gateway, which enables secure driver identification and vehicle access control. Based on unique driver IDs, the system ensures that only authorised personnel can operate industrial trucks. When combined with Unity, usage data can be centrally analysed and safety policies consistently enforced across operations.
