User access to archived emails takes place in the same way as access to new messages, directly via normal navigation in Outlook and/or via an Internet browser and Outlook Web Access. In addition, access for mobile devices, such as a Blackberry or other smartphones, and offline functionality is offered. Sophisticated caching mechanisms and automated synchronization functions allow archive research without online access.
