Joey's Pizza uses Pironet NDH's German Business Cloud

(PresseBox) (Cologne, ) Joey's Pizza, Germany's market leader in the pizza home delivery sector, has outsourced operation of its IT system environment and the new webshop ( to Pironet NDH. The delivery service uses all e-Commerce applications and the complete IT system centre - including CRM, data warehouse, intranet, reporting, mail servers and firewalls - as a Cloud solution from the high-security data centre of Pironet NDH. The newly developed ERP backend of the webshop is also part of the Cloud solution.

The stringent demands on product quality and delivery times made by Joey's Pizza call for powerful and fail-safe IT systems. The headquarters of Joey's Pizza in Hamburg is therefore connected to Pironet NDH's data centre over redundant links and obtains all services from the Cloud with an availability rate of 99.9%. In addition, all the data has been mirrored to a second, back-up data centre. The maximum fault clearance time when problems occur is 60 minutes.

High availability and fail-safe operation

"A Managed Cloud is - not least of all because of its fail-safe operation and flexibility with respect to resource adjustments - the best solution for us," explains Nils Dehne, Head of IT at Joey's Pizza. "We obtain maximum availability rates at favourable conditions and work with a service provider whose focus is on medium-sized customers. The service descriptions and service packages of Pironet NDH are transparent and match our requirements. We were also convinced by Pironet NDH's provisions for contractual penalties. These show how much trust a company has in its own performance guarantees."

Benefit of German location

It was also decisive that Pironet NDH provides its Cloud services in accordance with the strict national data protection guidelines at a data centre located in Germany. "After laws such as the 'Patriot Act' in the USA had been passed, we were only willing to consider a domestic provider. Following the recent developments and revelations in connection with Prism & Co., we feel that our decision was totally justified," says Mr Dehne.
