OPEN MIND Technologies AG, one of the leading developers of CAM/CAD software and postprocessors, is presenting at the 25th Design Engineering & Manufacturing Solution Expo DMS. OPEN MIND will present the CAM solution hyperMILL® Version 2014.1 from 25 to 27 June 2014 at stand East 11-34 of the Tokyo Big Sight.
The new release offers many automation functions for a more efficient programming. In the current version the user interface of the 'Single Blade' application has been improved and simplified. The proven method for the selection of the geometry and to automate the machining of impellers and blisks is now also available for blades. The geometry selection is now carried out centrally via a specially designed feature.
New tool, new strategies
The progress in machining production often lies in the development of tools and their intelligent use. New in hyperMILL® 2014.1: Improvements for reamers, barrel cutters in different designs and lens cutters. Measuring probe support has also been added. The quality assurance processes can be accelerated with the associated cycle 3D point measure.
