NovaStor, a pioneer in data protection, announced today that Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of storage and wireless networking solutions, has introduced the award winning NovaBACKUP data protection software to its entire portfolio of network attached storage (NAS) solutions. From June 2010, Buffalo customers that purchase any product from the TeraStation or LinkStation product families will receive NovaBACKUP.
NovaBACKUP provides powerful local and online backup capabilities along with a library of robust features. Open File Manager Agent and Bare Metal Restore (BMR) provide users with easy business continuity solutions, while NovaStor’s online backup functionality allows users to protect the data on the Buffalo device in the case of an onsite disaster. NovaStor’s innovative restore manager, TimeSlider, supports the automated restore of data, independent of the storage devices. Business backup support is provided for Microsoft® Windows Server® operating systems, including Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server® backup agents.
Small to medium businesses who are serious about protecting digital assets and purchase a Buffalo TeraStation storage device will benefit from NovaStor’s all-in-one data protection software, NovaBACKUP Business Essentials. Customers will receive 10 licenses of NovaBACKUP Business Essentials, enabling more than one user to manage backups.
Consumers will be able to automatically backup personal files with NovaStor’s NovaBACKUP Professional within the LinkStation family of NAS solutions. Each device will come with five licenses to allow multiple users to quickly and securely back up photos, music, media and email.
