Messer buys gas business of Air Liquide in Hungary

The Messer Group, which was established in 1898, is the largest privately managed specialist in industrial, medical and special gases. Under the brand “Messer – Gases for Life”, the company is active in 30 countries in Europe and Asia, as well as in Peru and Algeria, with a total of more than 60 operating companies. The international activities are controlled from the Frankfurt am Main area, whilst the technical centralised functions of logistics, engineering, production and application technology are managed from Krefeld. Stefan Messer, CEO and owner of the Messer Group, works together with 5,449 employees in accordance with defined principles. In 2014 the industrial gas specialist generated consolidated turnover of €1.047 billion.
