Manz Automation AG, one of the world's leading producers of automation, quality assurance and laser process technology systems for the photovoltaic and LCD industry, acquired a large number of new orders at the 22nd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition in Milan. During this conference, Manz concluded orders with a total volume of € 17 million. In addition, Manz Automation AG was selected as "Preferred Supplier" and "Global Automation Partner" for a leading global solar cell manufacturer with branches in the USA, India and Spain. Both companies agreed a master agreement for a long-term strategic alliance which will open up additional sales and earnings potential for Manz Automation. An initial order for the automation of a production line in India has already been placed.
Manz Automation introduced its new metallization line, which offers significant quality and capacity advantages for the production of crystalline solar cells, thus once again underscoring its innovational prowess. Launching this machine means that Manz is able to supply the entire back-end for a production line. This elevates the percentage of the total investment in a production line for crystalline silicon solar cells that Manz can supply to up to 60%.
