The Supervisory Board of cable manufacturer Leoni AG based in Nuremberg has extended the contract of its Management Board member Uwe H. Lamann (57). The new contract runs until 31 December 2012; the existing contractual agreement would have expired on 30 June 2009. Lamann has been a member of the Management Board since 1999 and is in charge of the Wiring Systems division within the Leoni Group.
Since he joined the Company about 9 years ago, Uwe H. Lamann's area of responsibility has grown from EUR 339 million to the present level of EUR 1.6 billion. He has raised this division from a provider of cable harnesses to the market leader for wiring systems in Europe and to a leading supplier worldwide in this sector. Most recently he was responsible for the takeover of Valeo Connective Systems (now Leoni Wiring Systems France), the largest acquisition in Leoni's 90-year history.
