Frameless mirror: a small big revolution
We will introduce a new concept for the mounting of optics like mirrors and beam splitters. In general the major source of problem comes from the metallic frame: mechanical and thermal instability, stress, limited clear apertures, etc... We then decided to design and realize a “frameless system” where the optics are fully integrated with the structure, getting rid of all the issues above at once. In order to do so, we have developed a new substrate made of ceramic material with a lot of incredible properties.
