Schneider-Kreuznach has designed a new, extremely high-performing and universally applicable wide-angle lens, expanding its range of products for digital photography with large sensors of over 43 mm. Apo-Digitar 5.6/43 XL has been developed for photographers who generally prefer a wide-angle lens to a standard lens, but who are looking for a combination of high quality and the wide freedom of movement that is necessary for perspective corrections or adjustments.
The lens has a large image circle of 110 mm from an aperture of 8, enabling a wide range of settings. This apochromatically corrected eight-element and symmetrical lens provides high-quality images even at full aperture. At a working aperture of 8, it provides a homogeneous resolution and exceptional contrast. With a focal length of 43 mm and a 5.6 aperture, the Apo-Digitar 5.6/43 XL is a real all-rounder on location as well as in a studio. A digital center filter is also available as a Photoshop plug-in for Macintosh.
