The Joint Forces for Solar success story continues with its third event in 2011. The Intersolar North America is hosting the 3rd US PV Briefing & Networking Forum on July 12, 3.30 to 6.00 pm in Moscone Center (West Hall, Level 2) San Francisco. The aim is to bring together local firms particularly installers with global players in order to further communication on all levels of the solar value chain. One of the aims of this networking event is to place focus on the Californian market as well as neighboring states. "From this perspective changing incentive programs, market penetration as well as installer procurement management are examined," says Daniel Fuchs, Joint Forces for Solar project manager at EuPD Research.
Exchange of knowledge and know-how provides food for thought
The 3rd US PV Briefing & Networking Forum will open with a presentation on the US photovoltaic market. EuPD Research provides analysis here on developments in select US states from the installer perspective. The second presentation pays tribute to the regional nature of the event by examining the Californian PV market and its role and development from a national perspective. The most recent installation figures will also be revealed and finally an overview will be provided on the future development of incentive and market mechanisms as well as energy consumption.
Presentations are followed by the panel discussion which will debate the topics introduced previously. Panel discussions at previous events have met with a chorus of approval and this one sees representation from business, science, politics and media take to the stage. The panelists coming from Bosch Solar Energy, Q.Cells, REC, AEE Solar as well as CALSEIA will also take time to discuss the burning questions of solar with attendees. The event closes with a final networking opportunity for all.
Establishing a foothold in the USA and Europe
Following the successful establishment in the USA with events in both Los Angeles and Philadelphia, Joint Forces for Solar hit European shores. The European premiere at Intersolar Eurpoe, June 2011, was greeted by over 250 enthusiastic visitors and exceeded all expectations. The roadshow is now headed stateside and will hold its third US event in San Francisco. The 3rd US PV Briefing & Networking Forum enjoys support from Bosch Solar Energy, Q-Cells, REC Jinko Solar and SES21 to name but a few. Media partner of the event is the branch's leading news portal PVTech.org.
