Intertek Food Services in Bremen goes from strength to strengthBremen, )
During 2017, the Bremen laboratory has invested in state-of-the-art equipment, the recruitment of staff including experts in the analysis of honey and bee products as well as NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) profiling.
Sandra Meixner, Director of Operations, Intertek Food Services Bremen, commented: "As a result of increasing our capacity, we can now offer customers faster turnaround times for our analysis services, which is essential for the dynamic food market. We are also looking at further investments in testing and other services which we are developing together with customers from the global food industry with a particular focus on the complete supply chain of food and feed. In collaboration with universities and projects funded by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, we are also working on methodological research for reliable authenticity tests for honeydew honey and marine food products."
In 2017 several scientists from Intertek’s Bremen location presented new analytical techniques and results in lectures at international conferences in USA, China, Turkey and Prague. Two scientific papers were also published in the renowned international journals Food Additives and Contaminants Part A and Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
Tailor-made, comprehensive service solutions for the quality, safety, and authenticity of foodstuffs will be presented by our experts at ANUGA 2017, the world's largest and most important trade fair for food and beverages, with7,400 exhibitors and 160,000 visitors, from 7-11 October in Cologne.
