The system is comprised of 18 Industrial Solar LF-11 Fresnel collectors with a total aperture area of 396 m² and a peak capacity of 223 kWth. It is installed on the factory roof of RAM.
The system was commissioned in March 2015 and was officially inaugurated by His Excellency the Jordan Minister of Environment Dr. Taher Shakhshir on 17. May 2015.
It was realized within a project between Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and ISG to support the market development for solar process heat in Jordan.
The development partnership with the Industrial Solar GmbH is part of the develoPPP.de programme that Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) implements on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
