The Jena-based manufacturer of medical devices Imedos Systems GmbH is expanding its international network by appointing ALF Distribution GmbH as new distributor for its systems of retinal vessel analysis. With a special focus on cardiovascular research, the new sales partner will serve various markets in Germany, the European Union and Switzerland.
ALF Distribution GmbH, based in Aachen/Germany, has many years of experience in the identification of high-quality technologies as well as in the direct sale and distribution of devices for non-invasive vascular diagnostics. Expanding its product range to include all of Imedos’ systems for retinal vessel analysis, the company has become the new sales partner. Imedos' Dynamic Vessel Analyzer 3.0 (DVA 3.0) is now a new core product in the portfolio of ALF Distribution. The medical device enables so-called dynamic vessel analysis, an innovative method of retinal vessel analysis, which provides detailed insights into the function and regulation of retinal vessels. For this purpose, the smallest vessels of the retina are first stimulated with flicker light and then analyzed. The vessels of the retina represent the entire human body. They provide important information about general microvascular health. Therefore, they facilitate the assessment of a patient’s personal risk for cardiovascular diseases and events such as strokes and heart attacks, diabetes mellitus, obesity or ocular circulatory disorders (e.g. glaucoma).
