The LUMIMAX® LG-V02 Area Lights are now available in BLACK variant and the illumination colours Blue and Green. The BLACK series are ideally suited for complex Machine Vision applications with the combination of reflected light and backlight.
After the latest generation of the powerful LightGuide Area Lights was presented in May, further variants of this lighting are now being presented. These lights of the LUMIMAX® series LGxxxx-V02 and LGCBxxxx-V02 can be used for various industrial applications thanks to the compact housing design, the efficient controller and LightGuide technology as well as the highly flexible cable outlet.
The new BLACK variant of the LG-V02 series is now available in all illumination colours and sizes of this series. These diffuse lights have a light area, which is diffuse black when the light is switched off and therefore it can be used as a low-reflection background. The special coating of the diffusor absorbs a large part of the incident light. Hotspots, e. g. from single LEDs of a ring light (reflected light), are not visible in the camera image. If the lights are switched on, they offer the usual homogeneous, diffuse, but still very bright lighting.
Therefore, these lights are ideally suited for complex Machine Vision applications that require a combination of reflected light and backlight within a single checking station. For example, the contours of objects in a transparent packaging can first be checked using the BLACK backlight. The print image on the label can then be examined by means of incident light, with disturbing reflections being eliminated by the black background.
In addition to the BLACK variants, all sizes of the LG-V02 and LGCB-V02 series are now available in the illumination colours green and blue. Also polarising filters, which can emphasize or suppress reflections on test objects, are purchasable.
