When the world's leading trade event for industrial plastics processing, Fakuma, opens its doors for the 29th time this year at the Friedrichshafen Exhibition Centre and more than 1,600 exhibitors present innovations and trends in plastics technologies to around 40,000 visitors, this will also be a premiere for HOFFMANN MINERAL. The spotlight in Friedrichshafen will be on the new product area TAILORED FILLER SOLUTIONS. Developed in collaboration with the renowned technology group 3M, these include products based on hollow glass microspheres, which are used for the production of low-density and lightweight thermoplastics. HOFFMANN MINERAL also hopes to attract keen interest from trade visitors with the talc Struktosil. This is suitable to produce thermoplastics and thermosets and is always convincing when, for example, the gas or water vapour permeability must be as low as possible. From the Neuburg Siliceous Earth range, the company is focusing on two Sillitin products that are ideal as IR absorbers in greenhouse films, among other uses.
