The Central Statistical Office of France is using devices made by Skeye for the calculation of inflation
For this purpose, the INSEE software was geared to the needs of the skeye.pad XSL by Höft & Wessel’s distribution partner Rayonnance Distribution, Paris. As an integrated solution Rayonnance supply the hard- and software to INSEE. Approximately 300 appliances are being used by INSEE’s inflation observers, who record the prices of selected goods in the respective shops. Since these data may be collected via mobile entry for each day, the development of inflation can be measured considerably more precisely than until now.
The order from France represents a further element of Höft & Wessel’s internationalisation strategy, for which the company is spending approximately one million Euros for the current financial year.
