The shredder of the EWS-R series
The shredder of the EWS-R series is the ideal machine for the automatic treatment of large pipes and profiles with a length of up to 6 or 12 m. Different models are available, capable of treating pipes with diameters of up to 630, 1000 and 1600 mm. The material to be size reduced is placed in a storage container that conveys the product, load controlled, to the rotor of the shredder by means of a mechanic feeding device. In the next-in-line granulator, the requested granule size is achieved. The particularly good free flowing properties of the end product must be underlined; alternative shredding systems produce thin shavings that require an additional regranulation - this additional and expensive step is superfluous if a HERBOLD shredder is used.
The HERBOLD plastcompactor
The HERBOLD plastcompactor has undergone a basic constructive revision: this continuous densifier is also capable of transforming thermal sensitive materials such as PET and PA of bad-flowing film, fibre and foam materials into a good-flowing agglomerate with a high bulk density, without adding water and without any damage to the material. The plastcompactor can also be used for drying humid film flakes from a film washing plant - especially the degree of humidity of stretch film, which is difficult to dry, can considerably be reduced and, therefore, a treatment in an extruder is also possible. Even great charges of agglomerate can easily be mixed contrary to film shavings - so differences in the product quality such as varying MFI values can be compensated.
The pulverisers of the PU series
HERBOLD can supply different fine-grinding systems, among those pulverising systems by means of impact and shear are available, as well as cutting fine grinding systems. A pulveriser of the PU series , particularly appropriate for recycling rigid PVC but also for treating PE new materials for rotomoulding and sintering processes, will be on display.
