Gartner Announces Outsourcing & IT Services Summit 2011

(PresseBox) (Egham, UK, ) Gartner Outsourcing & IT Services Summit is the must-attend event for outsourcing professionals. The Summit will be held from 26-27 September 2011, at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel, London.

The Summit is an intensive, two-day programme to prepare outsourcing professionals for the next economic cycle and develop new approaches to service aggregation and management. "More buyers are asking for concepts and clarity for using cloud services as part of their sourcing mix," said Claudio Da Rold, research vice president and distinguished analyst at Gartner. "We'll help organisations to understand the options for cloud services and evaluate organisations' readiness to adopt cloud services,"

In addition, Gartner analysts will provide practical guidance to implement and improve end users' vendor management programmes and build their expertise in negotiations and renegotiations. Gartner predicts that by 2016, 50 per cent of service providers who fail to deliver higher value at lower cost will see revenue drop by 20 per cent.

Baroness Grey-Thompson
Baroness Grey-Thompson is perhaps best known as a record-breaking Paralympian, winning a total of 15 medals, including 11 golds at five Paralympic Games. In her keynote, she will talk about the importance of a good team in preparing the individual for competition, and leading an encouraging each member of a team to the ultimate success. She will draw upon her own experiences of Paralympic competition and her current work for the House of Lords and the London Olympics to illustrate her speech.

Mr Deasy will cover a broad range of aspects on IT strategy, sourcing and risk management, and cloud sourcing strategies.

The Summit comprises more than 20 analyst-led sessions, five interactive workshops, industry-focused roundtables and contract negotiating clinics.
