Georg Garlichs, CFO of ESMT, said, "ESMT continued to grow and advance in all areas last year. The school generated a profit for the fourth year in a row and is well positioned to continue its successful development in the future."
The German Council of Science and Humanities (Wissenschaftsrat) accredited ESMT in 2013 for another 10 years and awarded the business school the right to award PhDs. Last year ESMT was once again successful in international rankings. In the Financial Times' global ranking of executive MBA programs, for example, ESMT placed 29th and was again the top program for career development. ESMT also entered the Economist ranking of full-time MBA programs as the highest-ranked business school in Germany. In addition ESMT announced the launch of an international Master's in Management degree program which begins in September 2014.
ESMT President Jörg Rocholl commented, "The successes of the past year are evidence of ESMT's continual positive development. The re-accreditation and the awarding of the right to grant PhDs are a mark of recognition for the high quality of research and teaching that ESMT offers and will continue to do so in the future."
