Global inspection and quality assurance leader Bureau Veritas issued a certification according to IECEx standard OD 005-1 for the power supply solution specialist EPLAX this October. The certification standard corresponds to the European EN 13980 standard.
The thorough IECEx certification process was successfully and swiftly completed and is the latest in a string of successful certifications, including UL, CSA, and EN ISO 9001.
While the European ATEX guideline focuses on clearing equipment for the EU market, the IECEx standard OD 005-1 has a wider scope. The certification includes regularly recurring audits of all processes within the company.
