eperi completes its Portal Security solution with the integration of Workshare Protect. For the first time Data Leakage Prevention is available directly from SAP applications and reliably protects sensitive data and documents in SAP. The solution runs on the eperi securityRunTime and is SAP certified.
eperi – Portal Security provides a comprehensive solution for SAP portals with the flexible integration of a multitude of Security Modules (WAF, Anti Virus, SSO, etc.). Besides portals the solution also protects SOA infrastructures.
eperi integrates the powerful Workshare Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) solution in the SAP Portal and applications and protects companies from misuse and theft of sensitive data. Workshare Protect scans documents and reliably identifies sensitive information and unwanted contents.
On basis of the eperi securityRunTime the use of Workshare Protect for SAP and other enterprise applications is possible for the first time now. For the user all scans are done completely transparent in a portal or the SAP GUI and without changing the workflows. Existing applications do not have to be adjusted. Direct embedding in SAP applications is possible via standard interfaces. There customers benefit from the seamless integration into all SAP applications (e.g. SAP GUI). Manufacturer independent implementations are as possible as the fulfillment of individual requirements. Due to the parallelization of scan- and transfer processes even high performance requirements may be met with the On-Demand Mode.
The solution is introduced at the TechEd 2008 in Berlin. Workshare and eperi do inform comprehensively about this and other data protections solutions at Stand 2.30.
