elexis AG, a globally active high-tech company headquartered in Wenden (South Westphalia), has acquired elexis BST Korea, Inc. founded. The new company, headquartered in Seoul and with an additional location in Gwangju, will take care of the sales and service business of BST GmbH in South Korea.
BST GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of elexis AG and a leading full-service provider of quality assurance systems for web processing industries - specifically: printing, packaging, paper, films, rubber, tires, battery and fuel cells as well as printed and organic electronics. BST GmbH is headquartered in Bielefeld and has eleven locations worldwide.
Alexander Heck, CEO of elexis AG and Managing Director of BST GmbH, explains: "The Korean market is very interesting for us, especially because of the battery industry. With our own local unit, we are now in a position to address and expand this market more intensively. Our customers in this region benefit from fast and efficient service."
The new company is the result of the agency that has also worked for BST GmbH in Korea up to now. This company is called "BS T&C" and works for other companies in addition to BST. The part of this representation, which is responsible for the business of BST GmbH, has been taken over by elexis, including the team.
At the same time, elexis AG takes over another location of the agency in Korea. This is a sister company of "BS T&C" called "KTech" in Gwangju. This will give BST better access to heavy industry, especially the tire market in Korea. So far, this business has primarily been operated by "KTech".
The Managing Director of elexis BST Korea, Inc. is Kioek Shim, who also headed the previous representation there.
