elexis AG has acquired Mesacon Messelektronik GmbH from Dresden through its wholly owned subsidiary, EMG Automation GmbH. With this acquisition elexis is consistently implementing its growth strategy. Because one of its building blocks is the integration of companies which drive the planned growth. This is exactly the case with Mesacon. Its one hundred percent takeover means: Mesacon will be integrated into the metal business unit of elexis which, under the EMG brand, offers customers components and complete solutions to optimise their process and product quality.
This is the third recent acquisition of high technology specialists which positions elexis AG and thus its established brands EMG and BST in a leading position.
The company Mesacon has been in existence for over 60 years and stands for high-precision thickness measuring systems which are sold worldwide. Specifically, they are non-contact measuring systems used for control in rolling mills and for quality control of material and coating thickness in flat products in a wide range of industries. In addition to radiometric systems for the steel and aluminium processing industries, the portfolio also includes laser-optical measuring systems with a wide range of applications. These applications perfectly complement EMG's product portfolio and are part of the indispensable basic equipment in the production and processing of flat materials, especially in the steel, aluminium and automotive industries.
