Dr. Boecking explained to Sangsingkeo the various possibilities of the welding technology training at the around 320 DVS-authorised educational establishments in Germany and DVS's training activities worldwide. After the discussion with Sangsingkeo, the DVS General Manager met up with Assoc. Professor Dr. h. c. Banleng Sornil from WIT and the King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB). Dr. Boecking also exchanged ideas about the subject of the promotion of youngsters with Dr. Jochen Amrehn, Vice-President of the Nanjing Tech University Pujiang Institute. DVS is thinking about participating in this year's Summer School in Nanjing. Prospective scientists and engineers will be able to introduce their research papers there.
With his lecture about the value added by welding technology in Europe and with the introduction of DVS's training concept at the Asia-Pacific IIW International Congress, Dr. Boecking was finally able to take up the questions of the various participants in the discussions.
