Carl Ostermann Erben GmbH (coe), one of the few high-end suppliers of printing plates in Germany, will be demonstrating the advantages of the revolutionary Bellissima DMS raster technology at the UV Days trade fair at IST Metz (13–16 May 2019). Since the beginning of last year, the prepress specialist is an official partner of Aniken Graphics International LLP, and has since then been making printing plates for the German label market, which are produced using Bellissima DMS screening.

Under the provocative slogan ‘Bellissima vs Flexo’, on Stand D of the UV Days event, the familyowned business will be demonstrating to the specialist trade audience the opportunities that the new technology opens up for customers. “This raster technology, which is exclusively available from coe, overcomes the typical characteristics of flexographic printing like rosettes, so that moiré-free images are now possible. Using Bellissima, multicoloured printing of small font sizes is also now realisable,” explains coe business development manager Michael Halfar.
