Canvys - Visual Technology Solutions is now offering 15, 17 and 19 inch LED backlight displays for the industrial market. Already a TV industry feature, LED backlights are now entering the professional LCD market including traditionally smaller sizes ranging from 15 to 22 inches.
LCD panels with LED backlights, compared to CCFL, are characterized by high contrast values, wide-viewing angles, long lifetimes and high brightness. A light intensity between 600 and 800 nits and an extra antireflection layer ensures the image quality of the panels, despite the impact of daylight. Consequently, these high brightness displays are recommended for applications in show windows, entry halls or event halls (semi-outdoor applications).
The most impressive features of the new LED panels are exceptional image quality, durability, and appealing competitive pricing. In addition, compared to same size and format LCD panels using CCFL backlights, LED backlights typically generate light output that is 75 percent brighter.
