From now on the takeMS International AG provides DDR3 Triple-Channel kits to back up the upcoming Core i7 platform. The 3 or 6 GB kits will be the first Triple-Channel kits running with 1.5 V memory voltage, 100% JEDEC conform. Due to an absolutely low power drain they reduce power intake of the entire system and thus also relieve the strain on the memory controller. The memory capacity is increased by 50% with Triple-Channel compared to Dual-Channel. Because of the Core i7 CPUs' high power loss and an Intel-defined TDP limit, overclocking has been limited. As soon as overclocking of the CPU reaches this limit value, the CPU clocks down by itself. The memory's power intake belongs therefore through the CPU's integrated memory controller also to the TDP. Thanks to the low 1.5 V power intake of the takeMS memory modules users can overclock their computers way better than with other DDR3 modules requiring a 1.65 V - 2.2 V supply.
The efficient takeMS DDR3 Triple-Channel kits optionally for the "Entry-Level" version with 1066 MHz (Timings 7-7-7-20 @ 1.5 Volt) or the "Extreme-Edition" with 1333 MHz (Timings 8-8-8-24 @ 1.5 Volt) in 3 or 6 GB kit are available by now.
