The international headquarters of the BMZ Group will be launching the E.Volution Center starting in September 2017. Over 150 developers will be developing the energy storage systems of the future in Karlstein am Main in Aschaffenburg under the leadership of Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Dirk Oestreich. Approx. 200 new battery systems for cars, bicycles, gardening equipment, medical products, and other applications will be developed each year in the BMZ E.Volution Center. “Battery systems are becoming smaller and lighter weight, even as run times are becoming longer, and as devices are able to work within a wider temperature range and charge more quickly - to name just some of the innovations in the field,” explains Sven Bauer, CEO & Founder of the BMZ Group. These innovations have made BMZ GmbH the largest manufacturer of system solutions in Europe, and the company continues to grow by 30-50 percent each year.

Employees at the BMZ E.Volution Center develop all of the components needed for modern, high-powered lithium-ion batteries, from concept to series production. In addition to battery cell experts, designers, hardware and software developers, testing engineers, prototype engineers, and welding technology specialists work in the E.Volution Center. The Center focuses on thermal management, charging technology, and many other innovative topics. Product and project managers ensure that developments are completed in time. Customers receive comprehensive solutions for a wide variety of applications from the E.Volution Center. BMZ offers both first level and second level support, and serves as a contact for battery recycling and reuse (second life).
