BITZER at the Climatechno trade fair in Belgium

Specialist in compressors in refrigeration and air conditioning systems presents new products and technological innovations

(PresseBox) (Sindelfingen/Leuven-Haasrode, )
Energy-saving, compact and low-maintenance – these are the primary benefits of the three innovative compressor series that BITZER will be showcasing at the Climatechno trade fair in Leuven-Haasrode, Belgium, on 10 and 11 October (stand no. 79). With over 3,000 employees in 90 countries, BITZER is a refrigerant compressors specialist developing and producing a wide range of screw, scroll and reciprocating compressors as well as pressure vessels for air conditioning and refrigeration systems. These are suitable for a wide variety of applications, whether stationary or mobile.

Lower energy costs meet higher performance
The NEW ECOLINE VARISPEED semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor features an integrated, suction gas-cooled frequency inverter that can be infinitely adjusted, making it possible to reduce fluctuations in suction pressure and cycling rates and thus lower energy costs. Using suction gas to cool the operating elements of the frequency inverter ensures that electrical components maintain an optimum temperature and makes fans and regular maintenance unnecessary. Operating above the supply frequency makes it possible to increase the overall cooling capacity of the compressor by up to 70 percent during peak load periods compared to operations within the supply frequency.

Compact and highly efficient
The five models of the new ORBIT 6 scroll compressor series feature a cooling capacity between 27 and 51 kW at 50 Hz and climate conditions and boast high isentropic efficiency levels over a wide range of applications and low noise levels. The compact, highly efficient compressors provide a delivery rate between 20 and 38 cubic metres per hour and were designed specifically for use in air conditioning systems and heat pumps. BITZER designed the ORBIT 6 compressors to consistently offer high system efficiency in full and part-load conditions such as those resulting from highly variable loads and ambient temperatures in climatic and heat pump applications. This results in very high EER, ESEER/IPLV and SCOP values with especially low annual operating costs. This compressor series is suitable for air conditioning applications with condensing temperatures up to 68 °C and heat pump applications with evaporation temperatures as low as –20 °C. The ORBIT 6 was designed for use with R410A refrigerant.

Space-saving and low-maintenance
BITZER will also be introducing the three screw compressors in its CSV series at Climatechno, which were designed specifically for the following applications: chillers for air conditioning systems, heat pumps and industrial and process cooling. With the exceptionally high ESEER value of over five, the CSV series is unrivalled when it comes to air cooled chillers with dry expansion. One of the compressor’s unique strengths is its high energy efficiency. The frequency inverter with wide frequency band is integrated into the compressor, carefully fine-tuned in the factory and configured for maximum efficiency. The compact unit requires very little space, whilst refrigerant-cooled electronics ensure maximum operational reliability and low maintenance, which in turn reduces life cycle costs. It also helps that each compressor knows exactly what its application limits are: if it exceeds its specified parameters, it first sends a warning message to the overriding system regulator and then turns itself off should the situation continue. The CSV series can be combined with BITZER’s conventional CSH and CSW compact screw compressors in typical system configurations, thus considerably increasing flexibility in terms of full and part-load performance. All models in the CSV series are designed for use with R134a refrigerant.
Ronald Bekker, Managing Director of BITZER Benelux: ‘Climatechno is Belgium’s most important trade fair for refrigeration and air conditioning technology. It’s gaining more and more international recognition and has a reach that expands far beyond the country’s borders. Here we meet with business partners, showcase our technical innovations and introduce our service concept that complements our products. This year, intelligent refrigeration and air conditioning applications will take centre stage.’
