Flexible DC emergency power supply for 8-36V input voltage
The UPSI-2406IP-26UW not only protects against power failures and flicker, but also in the event of voltage fluctuations. On the input side, a highly efficient DC/DC converter with a wide-range input from 8 to 36 VDC ensures flexible use. An additional EMC filter module is connected upstream of the converter to suppress electromagnetic interference on the mains side. In normal operation, the DC UPS system provides the nominal voltage at the output, charges the integrated LiFePO4 battery pack and monitors the voltage thresholds at the input. If the voltage falls below the defined threshold, the system switches to UPS backup mode within fractions of a second and ensures an uninterrupted and regulated voltage supply at the output. The intelligent distribution of the charging currents (PowerSharing) ensures that the input power is kept constant and distributed accordingly to the supplied load and battery charger. With a lower load at the output, more energy flows into the charger and vice versa.
Robust aluminium housing with IP65/IP67 protection
The sealed housing elements and connections of the DC UPS are resistant to water jets/immersion, ice, oil and dust in accordance with protection classes IP65/IP67. The aluminium housing contains the complete DC UPS control and charging electronics as well as the 10-year LiFePO4 battery pack. In addition, the UPS is protected against pressure problems and internal condensation by the integrated pressure compensation valve. Typical areas of application for the UPSI-2406IP-26UW outdoor DC UPS are safety and building technology, heavy industry, petrochemicals, tunneling and mining, energy, communication, commercial and special vehicles, the food industry, chemistry and agriculture.
LiFePO4 - the particularly safe and long-lasting lithium-ion battery technology
The integrated LiFePO4 battery pack impresses in safety-relevant applications with a particularly stable battery chemistry, a long service life of at least 10 years and more than 6000 full charge and discharge cycles. For all high-performance battery packs, Bicker Elektronik consciously relies on the particularly safe lithium iron phosphate chemistry, which makes thermal runaway almost impossible. The battery management system (BMS) with cell balancing ensures that all cells are charged evenly, so that the full capacity of the battery pack can be used over the long term.
Low total cost of ownership (TCO) and no maintenance for many years
In contrast to the supposedly cheaper lead-acid/gel/AGM batteries, high-quality lithium iron phosphate cells (LiFePO4) have an approx. 15-20x longer service life and cycle stability. In addition, 100% of the full nominal capacity of the LiFePO4 battery pack can be continuously supplied. Lead-acid batteries have significant limitations in terms of DOP (depth of discharge) and the number of cycles. When calculating the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) over the entire period of use of at least 10 years, there is a clear cost advantage compared to lead-acid batteries, especially since there is no need for maintenance and battery replacement for LiFePO4 during this period.
Plug & Play - quick and easy IPC connection
The UPSI-2406IP-26UW has an integrated USB interface for connection to an industrial PC or Embedded Box PC and is recognized directly by the operating system as a UPS - without additional drivers or software installation.
Extended functionality and monitoring with software "UPSGen2 Configuration"
The free 'UPS Gen2 Configuration' software is available for download and is used to setup and parameterize the DC UPS system as well as for real-time monitoring. The UPS and battery status displays include all relevant voltages, currents as well as battery temperature, state of charge (SOC), runtimes and cycles. The pre-programmable parameters include load sensor (mA), shutdown delay, maximum backup time, minimum load capacity before system start, ignition timer and restart delay. Self-sufficient operation is then possible with the set values.
Timer function for controlled system shutdown according to a specified time
The new "Shut Down OS in" parameter can be used to set the time until the computer system is shut down and switched off in the event of a power failure. In addition to the operating system setting with regard to „State Of Charge“ of the energy storage device ("Shut Down OS at SOC"), the new function can now be used to define a specific time for the controlled shutdown in UPS backup mode.
Shutdown & reboot function for IPC systems
In the event of a ‘PowerFail, the DC UPS signals the failure of the supply voltage via the integrated interface, so that a controlled shutdown of the computer system is initiated and valuable data is saved. The integrated reboot function of the DC UPS automatically initiates the restart of the supplied IPC after the supply voltage has returned, without the need for costly on-site intervention by a service employee, e.g. with completely self-sufficient computer systems in inaccessible locations.
High-quality connection cables included in the scope of delivery
The matching connection cables of the type "ÖLFLEX® SMART 108" for DC input and output (open-end) as well as the USB connection cable are already included in the scope of delivery of the UPSI-2406IP-26UW. In addition, two mounting brackets with holes are already pre-assembled on the underside of the aluminium housing.
