Balluff BFS 27K color sensors for industrial color sensing

The outstanding features of the new series BFS 27K color sensors include the fastest response times for high speed applications, and high color sensitivity especially to dark colors and low-reflectivity objects. Even small color deviations in quality control of textiles, leather or plastics, such as in the production of automobile seats, can be detected. Various processing algorithms allow these color sensors to be fine-tuned for color type and intensity, with 10 tolerance levels offered.

Balluff BMS mounting system in metal versions

The Balluff mounting system is now available in both plastic and metal versions. The new kit system includes holders for tubular and rectilinear sensors as well as holders for reflectors. New is a metal version of the adjusting unit for laser sensors. The mounting system covers virtually any space angle, and knurled rods ensure that the sensor position cannot be lost.

Balluff distribution boxes

Balluff offers a wide range of passive actuator-sensor boxes. These enable the user to collect signals in the field and pass them to a controller or transmit signals from the controller to the actuators. The result is uncomplicated, decentralized wiring of the peripheral devices. With their light, compact design the M8 and M12 distribution boxes accommodate up to 8 devices and can be used in machines and equipment where space is at a premium.

Balluff retro-reflective sensor for detecting transparent objects - BOS 6K

This sensor in the miniature housing (32 x 20 x 12 mm) allows objects to be reliably detected regardless of shape, color or composition. Its extremely low hysteresis also makes it ideal for detecting transparent objects. The auto-collimation principle increases the switching reliability of the sensor. An integrated polarizing filter also provides enhanced process security. The pulsed, visible red light increases immunity to ambient light while simplifying setup and adjustment of the sensor.

Balluff Remote System - Radial type

The new radial type remote system from Balluff offers non-contact inductive power and analog signal transmission for applications that preclude the use of hardwiring - a wear-free, non-contact, flexible solution with the option of radial or axial coupling for a new level of mounting freedom. New is the ability to transmit up to four independent analog signals with a radial type system. The greater power capacity means a variety of analog sensors can be connected.

Balluff BML magnetic linear encoder system

Displacement sensors with magnetically encoded tapes are highly rugged measuring systems. Their principle of operation is characterized by accuracy and high dynamic capability. Resolution ranges all the way down to 1 m, with accuracy classes up to 10 m. It is just these properties that make the system an attractive alternative and an ideal problem solver in many areas of machine building.

Balluff Wireless Transmission System - a classic with innovative RF transmission.

The Balluff product range of electromechanical switches has been expanded with a complete RF transceiver solution for the license-free 868 MHz ISM band. The single and multiple position limit switches are actuated mechanically as usual, for example by a cam. Switching signal transmission however is wireless. The use of RF signal transmission eliminates the need for hardwiring to and from the electromechanical switches. The maintenance-free and self-contained power generation eliminates the need for an external power supply or battery.

Micro-BIL - Analog position sensing for pneumatic grippers

Continuous position feedback from small grippers is being increasingly demanded, and traditional limit switches often do not fit the bill. Now there is a solution - Micro-BIL! The sensing components are housed in a conventional cylinder switch body which is designed for direct attachment in the widely used T-slot. The processing electronics are detached, allowing them to be attached wherever there is space, such as on the side of the gripper.

Compact BNS Housings Single and multiple position switches with forced opening

Balluff is introducing their smallest BNS safety switch ever at the Automatica exhibition. This switch features a switch element with snap function having one normally open and one forced opening contact. The latter will open the circuit even if the contacts are welded. This adds four models of positive opening switches to the BNS 40, 46, 99 and 100 series.
